Mrs. Mary Lucille Morrow Penton, 97, of LaGrange, passed away Monday, January 7, 2013, at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Penton was born October 22, 1915 in Randolph County, Alabama, the daughter of the late Lee Daniel and Paulee Daniel. She had been a member of several local Baptist churches, and had worked at Elm City Plant for Calloway Mills as an inspector and also worked for Payton Dry Cleaners. She loved going to church and various church events and also dress shopping.
Survivors include sons, Lelon (Marianne Mullins) Penton, and Wayne Burgess, both of LaGrange, a brother, R.C. (Speedy) Daniel of Roanoke, Al., Five grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Mr. Belton Morrow and Mr. Doyle Penton, a sister, Clara Nix and two brothers, Awbrey and Henry Daniel.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013, at the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with Rev. S. T. Janney and Rev. Jim Head officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00.
