Mr. Jimmy “Rick” Moncus, 58, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013, at West Georgia Health Center in LaGrange.

Mr. Moncus was born August 6, 1954 in Troup County, son of George Moncus and Nellie Railey Moncus of LaGrange. He was employed at Moore’s Bail Bonding for the past eight years, he had been a plumber and co-owner of Moncus Plumbing for over 25 years, and also owned and operated the Stateline Fire Protection Company.

Survivors in addition to his parents, include his wife, Sharon Moncus of LaGrange; a son, Brandon Moncus of LaGrange, a son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Christina Moncus of Five Points, Al., a daughter, Callie Moncus of Syracuse, NY. sisters, Jeanette Moore of Hogansville, and Brenda Moncus of LaGrange, grandsons, Gavin and Charley Moncus. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jack and Barbara Moncus and L. C. and Eunice Railey, and a brother-in-law, Bobby Moore.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 Tuesday at the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with Rev. Doug Bingham officiating. Interment will be at Shadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this (Monday) evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
