Mr. Jimmy D. Rice, 56, of LaGrange, died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at West Georgia Medical Center.

Born December 3, 1956, in LaGrange, Mr. Rice was a veteran of service in the U. S. Navy and had lived in LaGrange most of his life. He was employed as a welder at Caterpillar, Inc.

Survivors include his wife, Joann Rice of LaGrange; daughters and sons in-law, Robin and Jamie Reynolds of Roanoke, AL, Barbara Jean and Harvis Holloway of LaGrange; his mother, Nancy Rice of LaGrange; brother and sister in-law, Freddie and Robin Rice of Newnan; grandson, Casey Holloway; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Crider; father, Garvin Lee Rice; sister, Vickie Hancock; and brother, Danny Lamar Rice.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Jeremy Royster will officiate and interment will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Saturday night.
