Alma Virginia Rowland-Johnson passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013.
Alma, the daugther of Annie R. Rowland, and the late Gordon Rowland Sr., was born in LaGrange, Georgia on November 7, 1953.
Alma was employed by K-Mart as a Manager for 23 years. After working with K-Mart she found the love of working with children. She continued to care for children until the Lord call her home.
Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Johnson, father; Gordon Rowland Sr.; and 2 brothers, Edward Darnell Rowland and Kenneth Rowland
Survivors include two sons, Gerald M. Johnson (Shanndolyn Johnson) Austell, GA; Bronco Lebrone Johnson, IV (devoted friend -Takiya Coleman) Clayton, GA; her mother, Annie R. Rowland, LaGrange, GA; 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; four brothers, Gordon Rowland, Greenville, GA; Alton Rowland, LaGrange, GA; Thomas Rowland, Atlanta, GA; Terry H. Rowland, Birmingham, AL; five sisters, Anne Childs, LaGrange, GA; Brenda Lawrence, Atlanta, GA; Gail Griffin, LaGrange, GA; Barbara Jackson, LaGrange, GA; Kimberley McTyre, Columbus, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 3:00 PM at The Light of Truth Center, 335 North Kight Drive with Pastor James Dumbar, officiating. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery.
