Police investigate death

LaGrange police are investigating the death of a woman after responding to a welfare check Friday morning.

Judy Rigsby, 58, of 970E Mooty Bridge Road, was found inside her apartment not breathing just after 9 a.m. She was taken to West Georgia Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Police said the death is not considered suspicious.

Police said an autopsy will be done at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab and the criminal investigations department of LaGrange police is investigating. Drug arrest

LaGrange police charged Mark A. Walthour, 30, whose address was unavailable, with suspected cocaine possession. An officer stopped a car he was driving at Truitt Avenue and Dunson Street and found a bag with suspected cocaine when the car was searched.

Theft

The owner of Morgan Upholstery at 1712 Hamilton Road said someone took four Rally tires off a Chevrolet Monte Carlo outside the business. The tires are valued at more than $500.
