She was born September 23, 1930 in Troup County, daughter of the late Daniel Bloomer and Cleo Justice Sivell. Mrs. McCurry lived here all of her life and was a Baptist. She retired from Dunson Mills after 50 years of service.
Survivors include a sister, Grace Yates of LaGrange; a niece, Darlene Hicks of Enterprise, AL; nephews, Don Dunn of LaGrange, Bill Sivell of Columbus, Steve Sivell, Randy Sivell and Ronnie Sivell, all of LaGrange; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harris T. McCurry and two brothers, Nathan Sivell and Henry Sivell.
Funeral services will be 11:00 Wednesday at the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with Rev. Olin McClain officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
The family will be at her home at 202 South Chilton and receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6:00 to 8:00.
