She was born in LaGrange, on May 22, 1926, daughter of the late Alfred and Mae Lyles Davis. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Malvin H. Parmer; a son, Rodney Malvin Parmer; four brothers, and three sisters.
Mrs. Parmer was a homemaker and minister’s wife, standing by her husband for over forty years in the Church of God.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Jerome and Sharon Parmer of Resaca, GA, Terry and Mary Parmer of Dalton, GA and Marty and Kristina Parmer of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren, Alan Parmer, Matthew Parmer, Emily Parmer, Zach Huggins, Cristin Huggins, and Sanna and Jay Harris; and great-grandchildren, Yasmine Huggins and Lake Harris. A sister-in-law, Martha Parmer, and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mittie Irene Parmer will be conducted at the graveside of Randolph Memory Gardens in Roanoke, Alabama on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 3:00pm with Pastor Dwaine Shadix officiating.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home today from 6:00 until 8:00pm.
