Mr. Shepard was born December 13, 1955 in LaGrange, son of Mavis and Jim Porter and the late Earl Shepard. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was formerly employed by Kemp’s Carpet.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Shepard of LaGrange; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Bridgett Shepard of Hollis, AL, William Lee Shepard of Carrollton, and David and Virgie Shepard; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Georgia and Lamar Lester of Greenville; eight grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene and Leonard Spradlin and Glenda Tarwater, all of LaGrange.
Funeral services will be 2:00 today at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with Rev. Chris King officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens. The family will be at his home at 1408 Park Avenue.
