Mr. Walker, a native of Chambers County, was born July 25, 1950 and was the son of Rosey Hosey and Robert Jones. He was raised by the late Olin and Pearl Walker. He united with the Greenwood Baptist Church at an early age and worked with Perry Ramsey in Valley.
Survivors include a devoted nephew, Rev. Keith (Suzette) Moore, LaGrange; devoted niece, Gloria (Gabriel) McCants, Valley, Al.; two sons, Christopher Walker, Valley, Al., James Terell Floyd, Jamaica, N.Y.; three sisters, Annette Jones and Marie Jones, Lanett, Al., Barbara Ann Jones, New Orleans, La.; other nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Annie Pearl Moore; and brothers, Willie Joe Gordon, Ronald Lewis Walker and Larry Jones.
The funeral service will be Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 3:00PM at the Greenwood Baptist Church in Lanett. Rev. Keith Moore will officiate. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of his nephew, Rev. Keith Moore at 104 Ridgefield Circle.
Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
