Mrs. Rowena Covin Moore, of Hogansville, died Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Hospice LaGrange.

A lifelong resident of Hogansville, Mrs. Moore was born April 17, 1920, daughter of the late Henry David Covin and the late Laura Sanders Covin. She was a 1937 graduate of Hogansville High School, attended LaGrange College, retired from Uniroyal, Inc. as an administrative assistant, and then worked as a bookkeeper for the City of Hogansville. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hogansville and former member of Green Bough Garden Club and the Homemakers Club.

Survivors include her step-son, Dan Moore of Atlanta; sisters, Lucile Marciniak and Clara Smith, both of Hogansville; sister in-law, Ruth Covin, also of Hogansville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Warner Hill Woodruff, Jr. and Robert Pierce Moore; and her brother, J. E. (Fox) Covin.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. Sheila Crowe will officiate, with interment in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in the St. Marks Community of Meriwether County.
