The men, dressed in black, took undisclosed items before fleeing. They were described as black, a little more than 6 feet tall and in their early 20s.

Anyone with information was asked to call police at (706) 645-3525 or Crime Stoppers at (334) 756-8200.

Watch your wallet

Two women reported stolen wallets at separate stores Monday night.

A woman at Publix on Commerce Avenue went to pay for her groceries Monday night and realized someone had unzipped the pocket book in her buggy and taken her wallet, which contained credit and debit cards, along with her driver’s license.

Meanwhile, a woman at Wal-Mart on New Franklin Road left her buggy unattended for about a minute and came back to find her purse opened and her wallet stolen. It contained $18, eight credit cards and her driver’s license.

Fire

A build-up of oil in the vacuum system caused a small fire this morning at Interface on Orchard Hill Road. It was out when firefighters arrived.

Resisting arrest

A man wanted for four misdemeanor warrants hid from police for three hours inside his residence in the first block of Whiting Street Friday night. He was charged with resisting arrest.
