Jerry L. Dudley
Mr. Dudley, a native of LaGrange, was born June 23, 1954, and was the son of Robert and Charlie Ruth Cameron Dudley. He was a 1972 graduate of LaGrange High School. He attended the University of West Georgia and receive the Bachelor’s degree from LaGrange College. He was previously employed at NOK of LaGrange. Upon relocating to Greenville, S.C., he became lead buyer at Robert Bosch (Automotive Company) Inc. of Anderson, S.C. He was a member and Deacon of Mountain Springs Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife, Mary Ogletree Dudley, Greenville, S.C.; sons: Ernest Strozier and Antoine Dudley; daughter, Tiffany Dudley; one granddaughter, Raniya Murray; parents: Robert and Charlie Ruth Dudley, LaGrange; brothers: Robert Dudley Jr. (Renata), Carl Anthony Dudley (Sherry), Steven Dudley (Rosa), all of LaGrange; sisters: Gaynell Williams (Andrew), Angela Dudley Rowland, Carolyn Moore (Rick), all of LaGrange; sisters-in-law: Carolyn Rutledge, Angeline Brooks, Pamela Jennings, Deborah Hutchinson, Louise Britt, Gail Dudley; brothers-in-law: Amos Ogletree Jr., Avlin Ogletree (Karen); special aunts: Willie Ruth Simpson, Mary Jean Cameron, Carolyn Dunlap (Lee), Gertrude Kennedy, and Daisy Brown; great aunts: Adell Ogletree and Willie Mae Edwards; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Charlie and Mattie Cameron; and brother, Kenneth Dudley.
The funeral service will be Saturday, May 22, 2010, at 2 p.m. at New Community Church on South Davis Road. Rev. Alfonzia Simpson Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of his parents: Robert and Charlie Ruth Dudley at 701 Juniper St.
Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
