Obama Will Not Be Re-elected

I am totally convinced that President Obama will not be re-elected in 2012. There are many reasons why.

First, the president promised the American people that he would be a different kind of leader. He said he would be able to work with Republicans.

Well, he has broken his promise. Instead of working with Lamar Alexander and Richard Lugar, he has spent all his time working with Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.

Republicans wanted to work with Obama on the health care issue. They begged him to spend time with them to develop a bipartisan bill. He paid absolutely no attention to them.

The debacle in the Gulf Coast has shown that President Obama does not have common sense. Yes, he is an intellectual. However, he has failed to aggressively attack one of our greatest problems. He has sat back and waited on incompetent BP to do the work. While the president was sitting there contemplating what to do, Governor Billy Jindal of Louisiana was in the Gulf leading the way.

President Obama unfortunately believes that government can solve most of our problems. He reminds me of Lyndon Johnson and other liberal presidents. In my opinion, government- local, state, and federal- excels only in wasting money.

The president has done little to stop our fiscal insanity. Every day we go into debt five billion dollars. Soon our indebtedness will exceed 20 trillion. No one is there to say no to spending money we don’t have.

President Obama’s greatest problem is that he has lost the support of independents. Naturally Democrats will support him while Republicans will continue to be against him. That is normal. However, when independents have no faith in you, you will not win in a presidential race. That loss dooms the president’s re-election.

As I have written, I am neither a Republican nor a Democrat. Instead, I am a devout conservative. My only hope is that the new president in 2012 will act like a conservative. George W. Bush talked the talk, but he didn’t walk the walk. I want action, not words.

I like what the great Barry Goldwater said in 1964: “A liberal Republican is just as bad as a liberal Democrat.” We desperately need a real conservative president in 2012.

I was equally sure that W would not be re-elected.Counting your chickens can make you look foolish, especially coupled with the thinking precesses you employ.

I'll go Goldy one better, a conservative Democrat is WAY WORSE than a conservative Republican.

GOP begged to participate in healthcare reform? It is to laugh.
