Ms. Broughton, a native of Troup County, was born March 22, 1908. She was a retired homemaker and devoted member of Solomon Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her grandson whom she raised as her son, Willie “Broadway” Broughton (Ruby), East Point, Ga.; other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Ollie James Broughton and Willie B. Broughton; daughter, Daisy Broughton; and sister, Elvira Broughton.
The graveside service will be held Sunday, July 11, 2010 at 2:30PM in the Southview Cemetery. Rev. W. T. Edmondson will officiate.
