Mrs. Rosa Lee Hall Smith, 95, of LaGrange passed away Wednesday at Florence Hand Home.

Mrs. Smith, affectionately known as “Ma-Ma”, was born December 11, 1916 in Troup County to the late Martha Williams Hall and step-father, Coleman Hall. She worked for many years with Mrs. L. L. Goode and for Ideal Cleaners of LaGrange. She was very diligent in her work of the church as a member of Arbor Grove Baptist Church and later with Cornerstone Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board, Missionary Board, and Choir. She loved to sing especially the old hymns.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one sister: Sally M. Ray, Atlanta; five children: Wheeler Smith Jr., Brooklyn, NY; Martha Smith Griggs, LaGrange; Willie Frank Smith (Johnnie), LaGrange; Pastor Charlie J. Smith (Angela), LaGrange; Curtis Smith (Mary Joyce), LaGrange; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years: Wheeler Smith Sr.; her youngest daughter: Maggie Smith Swindle; and her oldest sister, Mamie Brown.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at noon at the Arbor Grove Baptist Church, Brown Street. Rev. Thomas Stafford will officiate. Burial will be in the Southview Cemetery.

The family will be at their home at 932 Kelley Street.
