Mrs. Mary Crooks, age 69, of Pine Mountain, passed away Friday, December 7, 2012, at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Crooks was born December 17, 1942, in Helena, AL, the daughter of the late Aubry Lee and Pauline Hamm. She worked for the Troup County Board of Education as a bus driver and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her three daughters, Shirley Crooks of LaGrange, Delaine Bowles and Jennifer Crooks and Gary Wright all of Pine Mountain; two sons and daughters-in-law, Buddy and Mandy Crooks of Duran and Bobby and Shonda Crooks of LaGrange; grandchildren, Dewayne Flowers, Audrey Nord , Michael Crooks, Toni Crooks, Luke Stubblefield, Josh Stubblefield, Justin Stubblefield, Cody Crooks, Keelyn Crooks, Brent Crooks, Shelby Crooks and Matt Whatley; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Milton Hamm of Opelika, AL, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry (Big Buddy) Crooks.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with Pastor Sanford Colquit officiating. Interment will be at Meadoway Gardens. The family will receive friends at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Mandy Crooks, 363 Gold Street, Warm Springs, GA, and will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 before the service.
