Mr. Willie Burden of Franklin passed away Monday.

Mr. Burden, a native of Heard County, was born September 2, 1934, and was the son of the late Clifford Burden and Beannie Ware Burden. He was employed with Franklin Aluminum and was a faithful member of Mount Carrie Baptist Church, where he was active in the Male Choir and Usher Board. He was a United States Army veteran and member of the American Legion.

Survivors include one son: Billy Joe Burden, Franklin; daughters: Annette Person, Franklin; Shirley Burden, Franklin; Mary White, Franklin; Earnestine Burden, Franklin; Linda (William) Paige, Franklin; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Mozell (Eddie) Person, Franklin; one brother, Hulett (Mary Nell) Burden, Franklin; sister-in-law, Blonnell Burden, Carrollton; brother-in-law, Juan Herrera; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lola Mae Burden; one daughter, Lowette Burden, one granddaughter, Shanae Burden; two brothers: Charlie Joe Burden and Bennie Frank Burden; and one sister, Annie Herrera.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, December 28, 2012, at 11:00AM at the Mount Carrie Baptist Church, Victory Road, Franklin. Rev. Ronnie Jones will officiate. Burial will be in the Heard Memorial Gardens in Franklin.

The family will be at their home at 60 Alford Street in Franklin.
