A second suspect in the Dec. 23 armed robbery of Smile Mart was arrested Monday, according to LaGrange police.
After reviewing Smile Mart surveillance and witness testimonies, Cordeko Brooks, 21, of LaGrange was arrested on Christmas Eve, the day after the robbery occurred. His accomplice, Christopher Patterson, was arrested the day right after the robbery when officers spotted him walking on a nearby street. Brooks fled after seeing the officers.
Brooks was arrested and charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, obstruction of officers and criminal trespass.
