Police responded the 600 block of Chattahoochee Street at 3:20 p.m. on Saturday in reference to a fight that had just occurred. The responding officer, John Slonaker, noted that the victim had a cut on his elbow and dirt and grass on his clothes.
The victim told Slonaker that he was walking down Chattahoochee Street when he was surrounded by a group of black males that asked him to borrow money, in which he said frequently happens. When he told them he had no money, he said a black male came out of nowhere and began striking him in the face with his fists and knocked the victim to the ground before fleeing on foot.
The suspect is described a wearing all black, approximately 16 or 17 years old and had a “slicked over” hair cut.
