Legacy Museum on Main, 136 Main St. in LaGrange, hosts the exhibit Weddings of West Georgia: Something Old, Something New Feb. 1 to April 20 with wedding dresses, shoes, veils, announcements, invitations and newspaper reports used to spotlight love and weddings in West Georgia from the 1800s to the present. Admission is free. An opening reception and wedding tea is Feb. 16 from 2-4 p.m. The museum is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free of charge. Registration is due for dance classes, set to begin Feb. 5. Kelli Kinsaul, owner of the Center Stage Dance Studio, will be teaching ballet, jazz and hip-hop at the DHA Community Center in Pine Mountain. Saturday

Bridges Out of Poverty training will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Chamber of Commerce. The training is required for all volunteers with Circles of Troup County, a county-wide poverty initiative that helps people in generational poverty move to self-sufficiency. The training is also open to anyone who works with families in poverty, including agencies, schools, churches and non-profit organizations. Cost is $25. A free karate demonstration on from 10 a.m. to noon at the DHA Community Center in Pine Mountain. The center is considering adding karate classes and women’s self defense classes on Wednesday evening, Friday evening or Saturday afternoon. A beginner scrapbook class is offered at the Active Life Center on Ragland Street at 11 a.m. There is no cost for the class. A registration form and supply list can be picked up at the center.
