Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a man at gun point Wednesday afternoon.

Reports say that officers responded to Valley Ridge Apartments at 950 Mooty Bridge Road, where the victim told police that he was at Money Back on Vernon Street getting money from an ATM and was approached by a black male who asked for a ride to Walmart. The victim gave the unknown man a ride, but the victim asked him to pull into Valley Ridge Apartments.

The victim pulled in front of one of the buildings and the suspect got out and walked into the breezeway. The suspect then turned around and walked back to the driver’s side window, pulled a black revolver from the rear waistband of his pants and pointed it at the victim’s face, saying “give me the money.” The victim handed over his wallet with $100 and the suspect ran back into the breezeway and towards Walmart.

Investigators identified the suspect as Telcy Culpepper, 26, of LaGrange, described as 5-foot-11 with a medium build, and wearing camouflage pants, black shirt and black toboggan.

Anyone with information was asked to call LaGrange police at 706-883-2603 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000, or text an anonymous tip to TEXT-A-TIP at 274637, keyword “LAGRANGE.” Tips also may be submitted online at www.lagrangega.org or www.facebook.com/lagrange.police.
