Mr. John A. White, 96, of Hogansville, died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Twin Fountains Home in LaGrange.

Mr. White was born November 20, 1916, in Cleburne County, Alabama, son of the late Littleton Greenberry White and Mary Elizabeth Knowles White. A resident of Hogansville since 1944, he was a longtime member of Antioch Baptist Church, retired from Uniroyal, Inc. after 36 years of service, and then was employed by the City of Hogansville for a number of years.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie White; daughter, Janis Deanne White; son Charles Eddie Gulley and his wife, Rose, all of Hogansville; brother, Billy White of Bremen; grandchildren, Carrie Stackline of Hogansville, Chris Gulley of Arkansas, Ian McMinn of Hogansville; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Randall Hodge will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 3 Sunday afternoon.
