Joel T. Kirkwood, 38, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at his home in Newnan. He was born January 5, 1975, in Opelika, AL, to John Skipper Kirkwood & Elizabeth Anne Holcombe. Joel served his country in the U.S. Navy for four years.

The memorial service is Sunday, March 17, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at Loyd Presbyterian Church with Dr. Rix Threadgill & Dr. Tony Dean officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the memorial service.
