Mr. Enoch Michael (Mike) Moore, 62, of Hogansville, died Saturday, Mar. 16, 2013, at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Moore was born Sept. 26, 1950, in LaGrange, son of the late Enoch Melvin Moore and the late Essie Mae Bryant Moore. A veteran of service in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War, he also served as a Command Sergeant Major in the Georgia State Defense Force. Mr. Moore retired as a lieutenant after 18 years of service as a firefighter/EMT at the City of Morrow Fire Department.
Survivors include his children, John P. Moore and his wife, Jessica of Luthersville, Andrew D. Moore and his wife, Hannah of Newnan, Mary F. Vickery and her husband, Gregg, and Dixie Morris-Woodard and her husband, Quint, all of Hogansville; 13 grandchildren; his former wife who remained a close friend and ally, Cynthia Wells Requa of Cold Spring, NY; and sister, Sherry Moore of Grantville.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Donnie Shelton will officiate with interment in Myrtle Hill Cemetery with military honors.
