Mrs. Rebecca Whitehead of LaGrange passed away Saturday at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Whitehead, a native of Harris County, was born November 6, 1953 and was the daughter of the late Howard Sr. and Bessie Mae Thomas. She was a manager at CVS Pharmacy in Atlanta and a member of Greater Works Ministry in Greenville.

Survivors include two sons: Johnnie (Tonya) Whitehead, Fairburn, GA; Antonio Whitehead, LaGrange; two daughters: April Leonard, LaGrange; Coltina (Jamal) Bates, Pine Mountain; brother, George (Sharmaine) Thomas, Detroit, MI; two sisters: Shirley Thomas, Pine Mountain; Jacqueline (Tony) Lattimor, Pine Mountain; aunt, Pearlie Mae Daniel; uncle, Palmer Lee Moss, both of Pine Mountain; fourteen grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Howard Whitehead; two grandchildren: Johnell and Annette Whitehead; sister, Bobbie Ann Parkmond; two brothers: Howard Thomas Jr. and Willie Roy Thomas; and stepfather, Jessie Lee Woods.

The funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00AM at the New Rock Springs Baptist Church in Pine Mountain. Rev. Wand Martin will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will be at their home at 98 Daughtery Street.
