Willie Elizabeth Motin Simpson passed away October 18, 202.
Mrs. Simpson, daughter of the late Will and Wylene Motin was born on April 17, 1919. She was married to the late John L. Simpson and united they had eight children; she also had on step son.
She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and became a member of the Burkes Chapel United Methodist Church and later moved her membership, after marriage, to Bright Star Baptist Church, where she was still a dedicated member. She also regularly attended New Community Church in LaGrange. She was a retired employee of the Troup County School system where she worked as a cook. She was an Avon Sales Representatives for more than 40 years and was a President Club member for outstanding sales for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Simpson; and all of her siblings; and her daughter, Gwenivere Simpson, son Elkin Simpson and stepson John Henry Simpson.
She leaves behind two daughters: Trivel (Hosie) Clark, Decatur and Loraine Denise Allen, LaGrange. Four sons: Errin (Bertha) Simpson, Decatur; John P. (Jimmie) Simpson, LaGrange; Calvin (Lillie) Simpson, Austell; Gary (Doris) Simpson, LaGrange, and step daughter in-law Lily Simpson; her 95 year old uncle, Wisdom Moton, 17 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 12:00 PM at New Community Church with Rev. John Parkmond officiating. Entombment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery.
