Mr. Michael Wortham of LaGrange passed away Sunday. Mr. Wortham, a native of Harris County, was born April 7, 1961 and was the son of Barbara Jean Wortham and the late Lee Wortham. He previously worked for Emerson as a machine operator and NOK and Georgia Pacific. He was a member of St. Paul CME Church. Survivors include his wife, Frankie Wortham, LaGrange; mother, Barbara Jean Wortham, Pine Mountain; children: Antonio Wortham, Monroe, GA; Cederic Wortham, LaGrange; stepchildren: Alicia Goens, Atlanta; Noqua (Tina) Grier, Mickey Jackson, Algeta Thompson, all of LaGrange; sister: Belinda Wortham, Pine Mountain; brothers: Willie and Mary Ann Wortham, Hamilton, GA; Rev. Ferrell and Pastor Melissa Wortham, Pine Mountain; Alford and Angela Wortham, LaGrange; maternal grandfather, Vamus Culpepper, Pine Mountain; eleven grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Elvin and Cora Mae Ogletree and maternal grandmother, Thelma Culpepper.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Noon at the Bethany Baptist Church in Pine Mountain. Rev. James Hightower will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at the home of his mother, Barbara Jean Wortham at 695 Nelson Road in Pine Mountain. Condolences may be expressed by visiting www.lakesdunsonrobertson.com.
