Daniel Stephen Braswell, 61, of Pine Mountain, died Thursday, November 1, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be 4:00 pm, Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the chapel of Cox Funeral Home, Hamilton. Visitation will be from 3 to 4 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Braswell was born September 30, 1951 in Cuthbert, GA, the son of Leila Braswell and Bennie Braswell. Steve received his diploma from Columbus High School, Columbus, GA and enlisted in the Navy. He served in Vietnam as a gunner’s mate in the Mekong Delta before being stationed in Hawaii in 1972. Following a degree in Chemical Engineering, Steve specialized in auto paint for several auto manufacturers taking his family around the U.S. and Canada.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Lynn Baswell of Pine Mountain, GA, his mother, Leila Braswell of Columbus, daughter, Becky Hall and husband Kevin Hall of Phenix City, AL, son, Benjamin Holt Braswell and Wife, Mandi and daughter, Virginia Rae (Ginny) Braswell Dyes and husband, Joey all of Pine Mountain. Grandchildren include Victoria, Cristina, Emma Kate, Angela, Sarah, Lainey, Piper, Gracie and only grandson, Jacob (Bo) and one brother, David Braswell of Columbus.
