Mrs. Lorene Thomas Johnson of LaGrange passed away Thursday at LaGrange Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Johnson, a native of Troup County, was born January 16, 1949 and was the daughter of the late Willie and Bessie Lee Reed Thomas. She was a custodian at Gardner Newman Middle School and joined the Wehadkee Baptist Church at an early age.

Survivors include her loving children: daughter, Angela (Bryant) Hanner; two sons, Michael Hanner and Christopher Hanner, LaGrange, GA; sister, Gloria Strozier; two brothers, J. C. (Carol) Thomas, Bobby Thomas, LaGrange; ten grandchildren, nieces, nephews; other relatives and a special friend, Maxine Patterson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Alfred Thomas and Willie Earnest Thomas.

The funeral service will be Monday, November 19, 2012 at 11:00AM in the chapel of the Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home. Dr. W. T. Edmondson will officiate. Burial will be in the Shadowlawn Cemetery.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Angela Hanner at 110 Brenda Boulevard.
