Mrs. Ruby Faye Bruce of 506 Milam Street passed away Thursday at West Georgia Health.

Mrs. Bruce, a native of the Abbottsford Community, was born May 4, 1933, and was the daughter of the late John Lee Johnson and Sallie Askew Johnson. She was a homemaker and lived in Chicago for many years before returning to LaGrange.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Bruce; three brothers: Jessie W., Willie H., and Robert L. Johnson; and a sister, Cora B. Strong.

Survivors include her loving and devoted daughters: Patricia A. (Horace) Brewster and Annie Jean Dunham, LaGrange; Virginia (Jeffrey) Morris, Hazelcrest, IL; sister, Jessie M. Hall, East Point, GA; two sisters-in-law: Frankie M. Johnson and Bessie N. Johnson, both of LaGrange; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, special friends: Barbara Williams, Betty Baker, Mary Banks, Linda Bryant, and Cassandra Hammett.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, January 17, 2013, at 2:00PM at the Faith Temple Church of Deliverance. Bishop James T. Newson Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Shadowlawn Cemetery.

The family will be at their home.
