Mrs. Evelyn Coe Clay, 57, of the Louise Community, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus.
Mrs. Clay was born May 27, 1955, in Porterdale, daughter of the late Willie James Coe and Mary Elizabeth Fuller Coe. She had lived in Troup County for the past 25 years, was a member of Faith Baptist Church, and was employed as a personal nursing assistant.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Clay of Louise; sons, Bobby Paul Clay III and his wife, Candy of LaGrange, Matthew Allen Clay and his wife, Mindy of Senoia; sisters, Nancy Greene of Warner Robins, Beth Knowlton of Franklin; brothers, Donald Coe, Ricky Coe and Sammy Coe, all of LaGrange; and grandchildren, Ryan Clay, Courtney Clay, Elizabeth Clay, Austin Clay, Madison Clay, Hunter Clay, and Jerred Clay.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, at Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange. Rev. Jimmy Clay and Rev. Jeremy Royster will officiate and interment will be in Cedar Rock Baptist Church Cemetery at Woodbury.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Monday night at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home.
