WEST POINT — Police are searching for two brothers who they believe shot a man twice Aug. 2.
Investigators said Monday that arrest warrants have been issued for Joseph Jartez Reed, 28, and Kadeem Onterio Reed, 25.
West Point police officials said officers responded to the 1400 block of East 12th Street on Aug. 2 in reference to someone who had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found the victim had been shot twice: once in his arm and once in his lower abdomen, investigators stated.
According to police, the victim, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital for treatment. Officers said the suspects had already fled the scene by the time they arrived.
Investigators now need the community’s help in finding the brothers. Detectives said Kadeem Reed is 5-foot-11, weighs 150 to 160 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
Detectives said Joseph Reed is 5-foot-7, weighs 175 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
