Letter: Troup County Retired Educators to host last 2015 meeting
Published 12:00 am Tuesday, October 20, 2015
The beautiful leaves are changing, but there will not be a change in the hard work that is done by the Troup County Retired Educators.
On Oct. 22 (Thursday) at Highland County Club, this group will enjoy a lovely lunch at 11:30 a.m. and a meeting at noon. These folks are life longer learners, and at this meeting, they will be actively involved in learning all they can about crime and safety by our own Sheriff James Woodruff.
On Nov. 1., please remember to celebrate a special day to thank the retired educators with whom you come in contact, and with those who have had an impact on your life. Clark Rich has been involved in helping to have this day set aside, and hopes that throughout Troup County and the city of LaGrange this day will be recognized in every church as Georgia Retired Educators Day.
If you are a retired educator living in Troup County, please make an effort to join us for the October meeting. We believe you will like what you hear, who you see and how you can make a difference by becoming involved at the local and state level.
You can make a reservation for lunch by calling 706-884-9925.
