Moses came across a burning bush, and long story short, it changed his life and everyone else’s lives after that day.

Well, Saturday I stopped by one of my favorite stores, Traylor’s Pawn Shop. I find some great deals there from time to time.

Bobby asked me to write about friends getting mad over little things and never speaking again. Sometimes people even forget what they are mad at each other about.

He told of two friends, one of which took his mad spell to the grave, and the other always hated that they did not make up. Folks, Bobby asked me to be your burning bush.

Those of us who are good old boys would say it’s a wake-up call. We are all getting older and there is somebody that may have stepped on your blue suede shoes and you’re still mad about it. Maybe they did not know they stepped on your shoes.

There are a lot of brothers, sisters, dads and sons out there that would be a lot better off if they went and said, “Let’s drink a cup of coffee and talk about old times.”

I hope this is a hallmark moment in the next hour for some of you. Everyone is going to die sometime and then it is way too late to say, “I love you, God I miss you.”

I was at a funeral a couple of years ago and saw two sisters do a lot of hugging and crying — and they have been lots closer ever since. Please do not wait too long, this is the season to love, live and be loved. Bobby, I hope I said this well for your friends that you want to see be friends again. May God bless.

Last time to fuss. My Dad and I were always fussing about something, as boys and fathers have a way of doing. You know what I mean, the son always does it wrong.

We were quail hunting one day and dad was giving me fits about something and I was getting madder by the minute. Then I made my mind up from that day on that if he said it was snowing and it was 75 degrees and the sun was shining I was going to agree with him.

It took a while of me saying yes, yes and more yes. But one day I think he caught on and he stopped being the super boss dad. From that day on we had more fun and love than ever before.

Not saying it would work on your mom, dad, brother, sister or friend, but it made my life 100 percent better. Never told that story before, but I hope it helps you.

Bobby, I hope you can send these to your friends and, just maybe, they can get together before Christmas, have some coffee or a glass of spirit and enjoy old times as friends. It takes a special person to worry about their friends, wanting them all to share fellowship and love on one another and the time of year is NOW!

May God bless you and your friends.
