Troup County is growing again!

Many things are coming together to help make this a wonderful place to live and make a living. In the near future you will have the widening of Hamilton Road into town. Many families, and some businesses, will be paid good prices for their property and be able to move to a nicer, more energy-efficient home.

We have 240 jobs coming next year with Jindal Films that will be a major blessing in itself.

Kia sales are breaking all kind of records every month.

Lake West Point is the best kept secret in the nation. It is a great place to boat and fish.

The banks are doing their part now, with low interest rates, to make house payments half of what they were 20 years ago. On a 15-year loan you can get as low as 3 percent. I closed one house in the Jimmy Carter days at 18 percent, so we have a lot of good things going on.

Not to mention gas is $1.95 per gallon. That makes us all feel great when we fill up.

Yes, Troup County has a lot of good things going on for everyone here. Houses are selling at bargain rates. The average three-bedroom home is $125,000 and the average four-bedroom is $175,000, so homes are a bargain here.

One thing we have going for us is higher education. LaGrange College, Point University and West Georgia Technical College are very important and can change people’s lives.

Look around and count your blessings. Troup County has a lot to offer.
