LAGRANGE – LaGrange High’s Blakely Arp shot a 90 during Monday’s LaGrange Invitational golf tournament at Highland Country Club, and that was good enough for a sixth-place finish.
There were nine teams in the tournament, and it was Northgate A taking the top spot with a score of 173, and Bremen was second at 181.
Michelle McGrath of Northgate was the low medalist with an 82, and two other players shot an 84.
Claire Alford was LaGrange’s second player, and she shot a 118.
LaGrange was originally supposed to have three players competing, but one of them was unable to go because of an illness.
“We’ll just try to keep improving before region,” LaGrange coach Thomas Crocker said. “I’m proud of them. The girls are working hard. They’re having fun.”
