LaGRANGE — Tickets are still available for Troup High School’s production of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid.”
Performances are May 20 and 21 at 7 p.m. with a 2 p.m. Saturday matinee also on May 21. Adult tickets are $8 and student/children’s tickets are $5.
The cast recently taught an “Under the Sea” drama camp, preparing children to dance and sing a number on the stage during the show.
The show features songs familiar to fans of the movie: “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl,” “Part of Your World,” “Poor Unfortunate Souls” and a host of new songs.
“Complete with all the beloved characters from Ariel to her Prince Eric, Sebastian, Scuttle, Flounder and the evil Ursula and her two sidekicks, Flotsam and Jetsam, audiences are sure to delight in the old familiar tunes and fall in love with some new songs as well,” said Noel Jordan, theater teacher and director at Troup High School. “It’s a huge spectacle complete with puppets — not the least of which is a 10-foot-tall Ursula puppet — a 16-foot ship, fun and lively choreography, and a cast you won’t soon forget.”
Tickets will be available at the door, but reservations are recommended. Anyone seeking reservations and more information may contact Jordan at jordannw@troup.org or text 706-977-9266.
