LaGRANGE — LaGrange police on Friday were searching for suspects after someone opened fire near two people sitting outside the Wood Glen Apartments at 64 N. Cary St. about 2 a.m. Friday.

The victims, a man and a woman, were sitting on the trunk of a car talking in the parking lot of the complex when they noticed a dark, four door car pull into the lot, they told police.

The couple then heard a gun shot close to where they were sitting, the victims said. The man and woman took off running and heard another gun shot close to where them.

The car then fled the area.
