LaGRANGE — A Hogansville man faces a felony charge after he allegedly went to a teenager’s home and fired a gun to threaten him after a dispute Monday evening.
D’Andre Marquise Reaves, 36, of Hogansville, is charged with felony terroristic threats and acts, and misdemeanor reckless conduct with a firearm. A press release from the Troup County Sheriff’s Office states he “became enraged after the juvenile (victim) made disparaging remarks to the adult (Reaves) and his family member.”
Reaves allegedly drove several miles to the 15 year old’s home, screamed obscenities at him and started firing a handgun near the home.
“The juvenile believed he was about to be killed and called 911,” the release states.
No one was injured.
Deputies arrested Reaves at his home a short time later after they spotted his car, said Sgt. Stewart Smith, sheriff’s public information officer. Investigators found bullet casings at the scene, and they found the alleged weapon from the incident in his home.
Reaves was being held Wednesday in Troup County Jail without bond.
