LaGRANGE — The Georgia State Patrol confirmed one person was killed in a two-car accident about 6:10 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Greenville Road and Towns Road.

Hugh Neal Brooks, of LaGrange, died in the crash, according to Georgia State Patrol officials.

Brooks was driving a 2011 Ford truck. The other driver was in a 1997 Econoline van, according to a preliminary report.

The details of the wreck were unavailable as of press time.

State troopers had not completed investigating the accident as of Thursday evening.
