Investigators with the LaGrange Police Department are searching for three men who allegedly assaulted a homeowner and robbed him inside his house in the 500 block of Greenville Street about 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.

The suspects reportedly kicked in the back door of the home and then hit the homeowner in the head repeatedly with a gun, said LPD Lt. Dale Strickland.

The three men allegedly stole a some cash, a cell phone and a T.V. from the home before taking off on foot, Strickland stated.

LaGrange Police officers later recovered the T.V. on some railroad tracks near Greenville Street, Strickland added.

The victim did not have a phone and went to his place of business to call 911, according to Strickland.

The homeowner said one of the suspects wore a mask, the other two men used something to cover their faces, but not their eyes, Strickland said.

The victim had some knots on his head, but did not receive medical attention, he added.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the LaGrange Police Department at 706-883-2603 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000. Callers can remain anonymous.
