Jeffery Ellis Ferrell passed away Sunday.

 

He was born June 26, 1959 to the late, Ms. Josephine T. Ferrell and Mr. Edward Phillips in LaGrange, Georgia.

 

He was educated in the Troup County School System. Jeff was reared in the great community of “Thomastown”. He was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church.

 

He was employed with Dunson Mill in LaGrange, Georgia for several years; and also, Troup County School System.

 

He was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Mr. Jerry Lanier Ferrell; grandparents, Amelia E. Ferrell, James (Emma) Phillips, Helen Thornton; and cousin, Horace Ward.

 

Survivors include his son, Mr. Roderick Williams; granddaughter, Roderuana Harrison; sister Pamer Thornton (Jerome) Allen; aunts, Mrs. Yvonne (Charlie) Hixson, Mrs. Maudie Nelson, Mrs. Imogene Byrd; uncles, Mr. R. L. Godwin and Mr. George (Duckill) Thornton; all of LaGrange, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

 

The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday at 1:00 PM at Smyrna Baptist Church. Pastor Lonnie Walls will officiate. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery.

The family will be at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Pamer and Jerome Allen at 3209 Cameron Mill Road.
