Troup falls short at Carrollton

CARROLLTON – The Troup Tigers returned from a break of nearly a week and fell to home-standing Carrollton 10-1 on Friday.
Carrollton scored four runs in the first inning, and four more in the fourth to build an 8-0 lead.
The Tigers scored their lone run in the sixth inning.
Trent Bailey had the Tigers’ lone RBI.
Jarred Helton, Brantly Robinson, Luke Swanson, Brent Kardoes and Luke Purnell each pitched for Troup.
Troup will be at home against Valley today at 3:30 p.m.
