The Beach Boys to play at Sweetland this weekend

LaGRANGE – The sound of summer is coming to Sweetland Amphitheatre as the Beach Boys kick off the 2017 Summer Concert Series with hits that have captured the hearts of not just the nation but the world for decades.

Original Beach Boys Mike Love and Bruce Johnston are expected to play some of their biggest hits at the concert with the help of their backup band for this amazing season opener.

This year’s summer concert series is set to feature five concerts through the summer with Kool & the Gang on May 28, Vince Gill on June 9, The Molly Ringwalds on July 1 and TajMo: The Maj Mahal & Keb’ Mo’ Band on September 29 to also play as part of the series.

Besides the summer concert series, Sweetland is also expected to have several concerts and events this year including a Blackberry Smoke concert on April 28, the Bow Ties & Pearls fundraiser on May 6 and the Sunsets at Sweetland which is a free to the public series of music and movies at the amphitheater.

Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the show is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at sweetland.events
