Rev. Carl E. Knowles, 78 of Greenville, GA passed away at his home on April 10, 2017.

Carl Knowles was born May 29, 1938 in Thomaston, GA the son of H. L. and Eula Belle Thompson Knowles. He retired as a manager in the Hospitality business with Milliken & Company Design Center following 30 years of service.  Rev. Knowles preached for 40 + years and was the Pastor of Calvary Full Gospel Church in Meriwether County until his retirement.  He, along with his family, toured as the Happy Keys Quartet for over 16 years. Rev. Knowles was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dewel Knowles.

He is survived by his wife Fran Knowles of Greenville, GA; daughters Lesia (Joe) Ansaldo of LaGrange, GA and Christie (Andy) Milam of Warm Springs; son John Carl Knowles of Greenville; sister Sara Longshore, Greenville; four grandchildren J. R. Furgerson (Kelly), Drew Milam, Megan Milam (Tyler Evans) and Alex Ansaldo (Casey); and great-grandchildren Gabby & Maddie Furgerson and expecting Rory Evans as well as many nieces and nephews.
