The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Jimmy Kilby of Newnan will be Saturday at 1:00PM at South Metro Ministries 3935 Highway 34 East in Sharpsburg. Pastor Allan Mathura will officiate.
Mr. Kilby, a native of Franklin, Georgia was born January 31, 1942 and was the son of the late John Henry and Minnie Kelly Kilby. He attended Mary Johnson School in Franklin and later joined the United States Army from which he was Honorably Discharged. Early in his life he joined the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Franklin and later united with South Metro Ministries where he was a dedicated and faithful member. Jimmy was a retired employee of Ford Motor Assembly.
His survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Floyce Kilby, Newnan, GA; four children: Jimmy LeChan (Rosiland), Micoleen (Carl), Maria (Travis) and Lolita (Nicholaus), all of Newnan; eight grandchildren: Tumarrion, Princess, Jordan, Jamaria, Destiny, Trevon, Jevon and Lela; four siblings: Willie (Rose) Kilby, Cincinnati, OH; Mary Nell (Hulett) Burden, Franklin, GA; Oscar (Afonda) Kilby, Chattanooga, TN; Arter (Sylvia) Kilby, Atlanta; two uncles: M.L. (Sissy) Kelly and Winston Kelley, Newnan; three sisters-in-law: Carolyn Woodruff, Atlanta; Sarah Person, Franklin, GA; Cloyce Tucker, Franklin, GA; three very special friends: Billy Crumley, Carl Hussie and Jodie Davis; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will be at their home at 18 Stonebridge Boulevard in Newnan.
