LPD on lookout for armed robbery suspect

Saturday at 3:55 a.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to reports of an armed robbery on the 600 block of South Alford Street.
The victim stated that he had been robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash by an unknown black male dressed in all black who was brandishing a handgun.
According to a LPD press release, it is believed that the alleged robbery was part of an illegal drug transaction, and citizens are reminded that attempting to purchase illegal narcotics can result in the loss of property or serious injury.

Aggravated assault
On Sunday at 3:21 a.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to reports that a person had been shot on the 900 block of Whitesville St.
Officers determined that the victim had been shot in the abdomen while on the 800 block of Ogletree St. by a juvenile while the victim and two other individuals were riding in a car.
The juvenile was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, and possession of a firearm by a person under the age of 18, and was transported to a Youth Detention Center.
