Good luck as school begins

Well, it’s here. When the alarm clock goes off today, it won’t just be for parents. It’ll also be for Troup County School System students, who get to head back to class for the first day of school.
Lafayette Christian students went through this routine yesterday and LaGrange Academy students have one more day of summer, but today is the day for students in the Troup County School System.
No matter how much students don’t want it to be, summer is officially over and school is back in session.
We wish parents luck as they try to get their kids back in the routine of going to bed earlier and getting up in time to get dressed, eat breakfast and catch the bus. It won’t be long until we’re all back in the swing of things.
We want to be among the first to wish the administrators, teachers and students good luck this year. We also want to remind drivers to slow down in school zones and to stop for school buses.
On this first day of school, we ask that everyone takes extra precautions, just to ensure everyone gets where they are going safely. It’s going to be a great school year.
