Sunroof used to steal purse from car

A woman said her purse was stolen from her Toyota Avalon Wednesday. Her vehicle was parked in the parking lot on the 500 block of Panther Way Wednesday between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. The woman said when she returned to her car, she found the sunroof broken and her brown leather purse gone.
Backpack containing $600 of technology stolen
A backpack containing $600 worth of technology and a wallet were taken from a woman’s vehicle Wednesday.
Her vehicle was parked at a parking lot on the 600 block of Broad Street between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. The woman told police the backpack was in the front passenger seat and that the passenger side door does not lock. Item missing include a Google Chrome Book and an Acer tablet. After searching her vehicle, police found papers that were inside the backpack, but nothing else.
Juveniles allegedly throw rocks, damage man’s car
A vehicle’s sunroof was partially shattered after juveniles threw rocks at it as it left Walmart on New Franklin Road Thursday. The driver told police he saw the juveniles throw rocks and heard a cracking sound when he drove off on New Franklin Road. The damage is estimated to be more than $500, according to the police report.
