A man is in stable condition after being shot in the chest at a residence on the 300 block of Harwell Avenue Tuesday.
LaGrange Police Det. Jeremy Jones said the man was at the residence when he started arguing with others who were present.
“During the argument, two subjects produced a handgun. One of them fired the weapon and the other one actually shot [the man] in the chest area,” Jones said. “He was flown to a hospital in the Atlanta area and he is in stable condition at this time.”
The victim was driven to the emergency room by a family member before being transported by Air Evac to Atlanta for treatment, according to the LPD report.
Jones said Michael Joseph Moat. Jr, 18, and a juvenile were arrested.
“One was a juvenile. [Moat was] arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime,” Jones said. “The juvenile was charged with tampering with evidence and possession of a firearm by a person under 18. There was another subject that was detained, another juvenile, but after further investigation, that juvenile was released with no charges.”
